Biography

The Rectifier's band is a trio of musicians from Gainesville, VA.  Tight vocal harmonies and proficient musicianship contribute to a full sound that mixes together a variety of musical styles such as classic rock, surf, rockabilly, and a touch of blues.  The members of the band have performed on the local and national level and have been a trio in the Northern Virginia area for over 12 years.

Scott Wells, Steve Cooper and Tim Fritsch began playing together back in 2006 when they organized to bring music to a local motorcycle ministry (M/M) named 2nd Thief.  For 5 years they played locally and travelled up and down the East coast with the M/M playing biker events and supporting outreaches.  During that time the band also recorded an album titled 2nd Thief which features a variety of music styles written by the band.

They eventually moved on to doing other things, rebranded themselves "The Rectifier's" and in 2018 decided to get back to writing music and playing local venues.

The band is actively working on writing and recording new tunes that will be uploaded to the site as they are completed.  Sign up on the mailing list to be kept informed of new releases as well as upcoming shows.  If you know of a venue that needs acoustic or full band music you can contact the band through the contact page.
